Our Pilates and Yoga Classes
Our group Pilates and yoga classes take place in the modern studio at our Corsham clinic. The classes are run by Melanie Todd, Laura Marsden and Carly Whitby and Diane Steele, and last for 60 minutes. In order that everyone enjoys individual attention and gains assistance in performing the exercises correctly, we normally limit classes to a maximum of 10 to 12 people.

Pilates matwork classes
The matwork classes are categorised from beginners through to advanced. They give you an overall workout based on the original Pilates matwork repertoire, which was developed by Joseph Pilates to build strength in the core muscles while promoting flexibility and mobility in the body. In the sessions, the exercises are broken down, or modified, to suit all levels of participants to help give you maximum results.
Mat classes may also utilise small props such as weighted balls, bands and the fitness circle to help improve endurance and core strength, which is promoted through the wide variety of movements.

Pilates Fitball classes
The Pilates Fitball classes are targeted at participants who are more experienced at the basic Pilates matwork classes, and who want more of a challenge. The Pilates exercises are performed either on, or with the Fitball, which adds further resistance, thereby increasing the intensity of the class. This class is aimed at participants who are at an intermediate to advanced level.

Pilates circuit classes
This power-paced Pilates matwork class is perfect for those looking to build stamina and endurance, as well as a strong centre. Using a variety of Pilates ‘tools’ you are moved quickly from one exercise to the next to constantly challenge the core. This class is perfect for intermediate to advanced participants.
